Still Alive... Sort of...

I don't know how many are left out there. If you still are, thanks.

Things have not been going well for me lately. My laptop, my primary
computer and machine I intended to use to record my podcast, died a
horrific death leaving me with my old clunker desktop. Recently I made
some improvements to the storage capacity of my old machine and I'm
looking into a new laptop.

Also, I confess I've been at a loss to find material for this project.
However, I've come to the realization that it had more to do with
personal matters weighing on my mind more than anything else. No that
those are resolved, I want to try to get this podcast off the ground
again.

More news as it comes in.

Where did he go???

Hey! Where did he go???

Well, a few things have come up. Primarily, I got a new job and the training schedule really screwed up my private life. Now that I got that out of the way, I can get back to work.

So when is the next podcast going to be? I just need to finish up a review I've written, then I can get to work recording. I would say that in at least two weeks, I should have something ready.

Until then, see you later.

Welcome!

Welcome to Miniature Gamer Radio! A podcast that exclusively deals with
the miniature gaming hobby, featuring hobby-related news, reviews of
minis and rules, and other other topics of interest to the mini gamer.

My
name is Mark A. Siefert, I live in Muskego, WI, and I'll be your host
in this little experiment in niche-related podcasting. I've been a
role-player since 12 and a minature gamer since I was 20 starting with
a then-little known space combat game called Full Thrust. Since then I've branched out into many other games and genres. Now I'm getting into podcasting.

"Why"
do you ask? Well, when I first started downloading podcasts I found
that there were many gamer and "geek" related offerings, but none that
specifically addressed miniature or miniature wargaming. Yes, a few
might bring it up miniatures, but I didn't want to wade through
discussions about PS2 and XBox games or reviews of the last episode of Lost
just to hear a quick quip about the latest WizKids "clix" game. I
wanted a podcast that dealt with miniature gaming and just miniature
gaming.

At this posting, I'm just about ready to record my first
podcast, I just need to take care of a few minor details and I'm ready
to go. I hope to make a contribution as often as I can. I also want to
use this blog to supplement the podcast by offering links to WWW sites
and images of the products I review. So be sure to stop on down and see
what's new.

In the meantime, keep your brushes clean and your flanks clear!
